It turns out that Cary Grant's 1963 Masterpiece "Charade" is in the Public Domain! It turns out that the producing company failed to add a copyright notice in the released print, From its IMDB "This film is public domain due to the failure to put the then-required copyright notice in the released print. The supposed copyright notice in the film failed to include the text "Copyright", "Copr." or "©", as was needed by pre-1989 US law (only the year and supposed copyright holder were listed)" However Some of The Music(By Henry Mancini) Is Copyrighted Bateau Mouche Bistro -So i am guessing if you remove the copyrighted music, Charade can be put back on IA! I wouldnt mind having the Movie without the music or having the music replaced

Also the short story and original treatment the movie's is based on, by Peter Stone and Marc Behm, are copyright. So you would have to remove the plot, story line and some of the dialogue. This one's in the same category as "It's a Wonderful Life", etc. It should be in the public domain but underlying copyrights are enforced, rightly or wrongly, keeping it out. I know the chances of "Charade" being P.D. are immeasureably low and practically nonexistent,BUT how about the filam "Arabesgue" a film also by Stanley Donen with Gredory Peck and Sophia Loren becoming part of the I.A. family, hmmmmmmmmmmm?

Well, I think someone should remove it then. Charade is here with french subtitles.
